When my youngest daughter Gracen was first diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, one of the biggest changes I had to make was in my home.
Creating a sensory-friendly environment for Gracen was not only a game changer for her, but it changed both my parenting approach and our relationship for the better.
I learned through trial and error what worked and what didn’t and that there’s no cookie cutter approach since each child on the spectrum is different.
I don’t have all the answers, and I’m still learning, but I created this site to help parents who just don’t know where to start when it comes to creating a sensory-friendly environment for their child.
